The KEP is an educational project directed to practicing eye doctors, residents and students created by a joint effort by the International Keratoconus Academy of Eye Care Professionals (IKA) and Woo University with support from iEducation by Glaukos. The Keratoconus Essentials Program contains a series of educational videos presented by some of the most respected doctors in the field of keratoconus covering a full gamut of topics related to keratoconus diagnosis and treatment. The Founders:
Dr. Stephanie Woo
Dr. Stephanie L. Woo graduated with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Dr. Woo is an adjunct professor at Midwestern University.
Dr. Woo owns the Contact Lens Institute of Nevada, a clinic dedicated entirely to custom contact lenses. She was awared "Practitioner of the Year" in 2022 from the Gas Permeable Lens Insitute, and was named "Educator of the Year" by the Nevada Optometric Society in 2020. Most recently, she was awarded the Theia Award for Education from Women in Optometry in 2022. She is the Founder and CEO of Woo University.
Dr. S. Barry Eiden
Dr. S. Barry Eiden is president and medical director of North Suburban Vision Consultants, Ltd., a multi-specialty group practice in the Chicago area. He is president and co-founder of the International Keratoconus Academy of Eye Care Professionals, an organization providing education and research to the eye care professions. Dr. Eiden is also co-founder and president of Eye Vis Eye and Vision Research Institute, which is dedicated to clinical research and development of technologies in the eye care field. Dr. Eiden enjoys lecturing around the world on the topic of keratoconus and anterior segment disease.
